4.1.1  船长：总指挥。

    Master： General commander for the ship in case of emergency.

4.1.2  值班驾驶员：协助船长，瞭望，操作车钟，管理驾驶台仪器、设备及控制系统，包括火警探测系统等。

    Duty  officer： assist master， lookout， manipulate engine telegraph， manage the bridge instru-ments， equipment and control systems， including fire detection systems， etc.

4.1.3  值班水手：联络传令，悬挂、施放信号，管理抛绳设备，释放带烟雾信号的救生圈，操舵，协助瞭望等。

    Duty  seaman： transmission， display signals， control line-throwing appliance， release lifebuoywith self-activating smoke signal， helm， assist lookout， etc.

4.1.4  无线电操作人员（或指定的负责通信的驾驶员）：管理GMDSS设备。协助船长负责船内外通信联系，根据船长指示通知弃船集合地点。

    GMDSS  operator（or designated officer responsible for communication）： operate GMDSS equip-ment. Assist master with communication， indicate muster station according to master's order.

4.1.5  值班轮机员：管理操纵主机、副机、应急发电机、舵机和应急消防泵等。

    Duty  engineer： Control the main engine， auxiliary engine， emergency generator，steering gear andemergency fire pump， etc.
